Virtual Founder’s Day a Success

The March 13, 2021, virtual Founder’s Day celebration on Zoom organized by the Alpha Sigma Chapter and hosted by Tanner Brasse, Chapter President, was a success!

Brothers from around the country were able to tune in and participate as Barry Bronk and Paul Forbes were elected to the Alpha Sigma Building Association Board and Eric Berger and Giacomo Zacchia were elected to the Alumni Association Board.  Tom Econome, ASBA President, and Bill Franchini, ASAA President, gave reports as did Michael Abreu, Southgate Annex Project President.

Graham Kutchek was honored with the traditional PIKE necktie for serving as Chapter President last year.  Alum Barry Bronk presented the three 2020/21 Barry Bronk Athlete Scholarships of $850 each to actives Zack Hansen, Neil Ahluwalia and Lucas Perkins-Brown. Congratulations to all the winners.

In March 2022 we will continue to have a virtual component to any PIKE Founder’s Day celebration held in person.  We are planning “breakout rooms” for each decade so a participant can drop in and chat with fellow alums from their era.  We will make the process as simple as possible.

Also, the 2022 Scholarship program will be named in honor of an Alpha Sigma alumni “Gentleman”. If you would like to nominate an alum to be so honored please email us with your suggestion and rationale.
